Nutritious & Delicious Meals

Exciting News for the 2025-26 School Year!

FREE BREAKFAST AND LUNCH FOR ALL STUDENTS!

We are thrilled to share that for the upcoming school year, every Louisville City Schools student in grades K–12 will receive one free breakfast and one free lunch each school day—at no cost to families!

This exciting opportunity is made possible through the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP), a federal program that allows schools to serve free, nutritious meals to all students, regardless of household income.

Key Details:

  • Free Meals: Each student gets one free breakfast and one free lunch daily. No applications required every student automatically qualifies.
  • À La Carte Items: Any second lunches, additional milk, or extra entrées will be charged at à la carte prices. Students must have money in their meal accounts to purchase à la carte items—no exceptions.
  • Ohio Household Income FormFree and reduced meal applications will not be accepted this year. Instead, please complete the Ohio Household Income Form to ensure eligible students can receive Summer EBT (SUN Bucks) benefits. You can access the form here 25-26 CEP Survey. Paper forms are available at the district office or your child’s school office. You can also request a form via email from Amanda Matchett at amanda.matchett@lepapps.org.
  • Healthy, balanced options: All meals meet the high nutrition standards of the Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act.

We encourage all students to take advantage of this program—starting the day with a healthy breakfast and enjoying a balanced lunch can help improve focus, energy, and learning in the classroom.
